Frequently Asked Questions
What can I do on this yearly calendar?
This page shows all 12 months at once alongside Singapore public holiday records. Click any date to see a quick summary, or click a month name to open the monthly calendar view.
How do I view a different year?
Click the year number at the top of the calendar and type the year you want, or use the left and right arrow buttons to step through adjacent years. If the year you pick is unavailable, the calendar automatically jumps to the nearest year in the dataset.
Where do the public holiday dates come from?
Public holiday dates are sourced directly from the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) gazette, which is the official Singapore government publication of gazetted public holidays under the Holidays Act. Dates are cross-checked against announcements from MUIS for Islamic holidays (Hari Raya Puasa, Hari Raya Haji) and the Hindu Endowments Board for Deepavali, since these follow lunar or lunisolar calendars and are confirmed closer to the date. When a gazetted holiday falls on a Sunday, the following Monday is automatically added as a public holiday in lieu, as required by the Employment Act.
How often is the holiday data updated?
Holiday data is maintained by hand from the official MOM gazette and refreshed whenever the government publishes the following year's dates, typically in the second half of each year. Currently the calendar covers 2024 to 2026. If you spot a discrepancy, please let us know via the contact page.
